Our Director, Bernie, operates his manufacturing company in Warwick, a regional town Southeast Queensland, about 130km from Brisbane. A scenic regional town with good families and community. The only issue with running a business is finding the right workers for the job. Even on a good run, it was extremely difficult to attract and keep skilled workers to the region. 

Bernie tried everything. Paying above the Award, paying workers for additional leave for weeks, giving generous Christmas bonuses and paying workers for the rest of the day if they finished early. These incentives did not appear to be enticing to attract skilled workers and keep them. It was hard work, Bernie just wanted to keep his business running and make goods to share with the whole of Australia. Manufacturing does not happen without a realiable and skilled workforce. 

Determined to not suffer the fate of many other Australian businesses who gave up their family businesses as they could not get together a strong and skilled workforce, he searched. Bernie was determined to also help his friends in Warwick who also operated a nationwide family owned business. 

Once Bernie sets eyes on his goal, he was never going to give up until he achieves it. Bernie searched and he found a solution to getting reliable skilled workers to the regions.
